The Order of Holy Wisdom
On Tuesday the 24th of January 2023 a Congregation of the Order of Holy Wisdom was held under the auspices of Surrey District 15 at Surbiton Masonic Hall. Present were two Grand Superintendents, Rt.Em.Kt.Pt. Jack Love, Grand Superintendent and High Prelate of Surrey District 15; and R.Em.Kt.Pt. Gordon Leaman, CM, KHW., Grand Superintendent and High Prelate of Sussex District 40.
The morning started with a meeting of the Surrey Tabernacle No 27 which was opened by the High Priest, V.E.Kt.Pt. Mark Donovan who welcomed everyone, especially the two Grand Superintendents and Rt.Em.Kt.Pt. Ian Smith, Past Assistant Grand High Priest and Past Grand Superintendent and High Prelate of Surrey District 15.
After the regular business of the Tabernacle had been completed the Tabernacle was closed and the Temple rearranged for the ceremony of the Order of Holy Wisdom.
A Congregation of the Order was opened by the High Prelate, Dr Miguel Godfrey, and the five Aspirants were admitted. Having undergone purification, they were led to each of the seven pillars where they were questioned and agreed to comply with certain instructions for the rest of their lives. The Congregation of the Order of Holy Wisdom was then closed.
After the customary group photographs the members of Surrey Tabernacle and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Croydon Masonic Hall.
