As reported previously, due to the need for social distancing our Grand Superintendent Jack Love has been unable to hold his annual BBQ in his garden this year. During the summer Jack and his wife Jenny have been holding a number of very successful BBQs in their garden.
One Saturday in August Jack invited Ian and Sue Smith and John and Hazel French along to his garden. The following weekend Jack and Jenny invited Ray Hussey and Ann together with Andrew and Mary Sales to join them for a BBQ at their house.
Once again everyone enjoyed Jack and Jenny’s hospitality – especially looking at the number of opened red wine bottles on the table. No wonder Jack was worn out after all these BBQs. He said he never wants to see a steak again.
The next get together was a lovely wine and cheese afternoon at Halfpenny Close. Jack invited Mik Barnes, Simon McCarthy and Denis Leigh for a most enjoyable afternoon.
To round off the series of socially distanced gatherings Jack’s final invite was to Ian and Pat Clark and John and Hazel French.
