Compared to last year it was a dry afternoon to socialise and experience one of Jack’s special BBQs. District members, their wives as well as members of other Masonic orders from the Province of Surrey arrived just before mid-day and socialised in the garden while Jack, assisted by Archie Parsons, manned the BBQ. It was so good that Steve Jones was seen going back for fourths.

The wine flowed, as one would expect at a Jack Love event, and even Ray Hussey was complementary about the red wine. Soon the delicious salads and cold meats that had been prepared and presented in the dining room, along with venison sausages, fillet steaks and succulent pork sausages, had been consumed, as had the gateaux and desserts which followed. As in previous years a raffle was held with the proceeds going towards the Order’s Centenary Pillar Fund the monies for which are to fund the procurement of premises for the Order. A considerable sum was raised at the event for the Pillar Fund. The grateful thanks of the District Grand Superintendent is extended to all those who attended.

Thanks again to Jack for putting on such an enjoyable garden party, which enabled us all to get together socially to enjoy ourselves. Next year’s garden party has already been set for Saturday 25th July 2020 so get that date marked in your diaries now.
